WOMEN'S TEAM
The future is orange
Eagles HC Women is the oldest female squad in Gibraltar having been established by Stephen Valarino in approximately 1989.
Eagles HC Women’s section consists of our Women’s 1 st X1 and our Juniors and Minis teams (with many hopes of soon developing a Second Division Development Team).
Our Women’s 1st XI participates in the local Women First Division competitions and have in the past competed and hosted European Competitions. Our Women’s First Division Squad have become League Champions and Cup Champions in Gibraltar as well as earned medals in European Hockey Federation Official Competitions.
We are now developing a young squad in the hope that we can return to European Competitions within the next two to three years.
Our Girls development, juniors and mini teams all come under the Eagles Youth Academy structure and currently compete in the Gibraltar Hockey 5’s Cup and League.
At present, we have over 40 female players training their way through the ranks and aiming to play in our first division squad. Our minis and junior players are developing so well that we hope to establish a Second Division Development Squad within the next year or so which will prepare our girls for the First Division Team.
